Xander's friend Tomas is having a birthday party today at a sports club in El Parque 3 de Febrero. Jordy was able to join the party too. Last night the boys picked out a couple of CDs of American music (Sublime and Van Halen) to give Tomas.
Xander is thriving at his new school. He is very comfortable and happy with his new friends and teachers. His Spanish is soaring. Jordy is doing well too, but he is a bit overwhelmed by all the attention he is getting from the 5th grade girls!
Andrew and I are planning our trip to Patagonia and later Andrew is going to make a trip to the barber.
This evening we are going to a futbol match between Argentina and Peru. The entire country is on pins and needles for tonight's World Cup qualifier. Argentina needs to win today in order to go to the World Cup next year. If they lose, they are out. The people are disgusted with the team and especially Diego Maradona who is the coach and one of Argentina's national heroes. Argentina has some of the best players in the world and they can't seem to pull it together as a team when they play for their home country. We all hope for Palermo's magic and Messi's excellence to come together tonight!
